Daddy Time

Probably one of the things I love most about my husband (well, there are a ton of things, so it depends on which day he's doing what), is when he teaches the kids things. I just love watching the boys soak up whatever information he is giving them, and can see them getting empowered with skills and knowledge.

Yesterday it happened to be changing a bike tire. Luke's tire went flat, so he went to Dad to see what needed to be done. Here's a couple pictures of them grossly interested in patching the hole and learning about getting the tire off and back on the bike again.

I can just see them becoming more of little men each day with the skills their Daddy teaches them. I feel so bad for kids (boys especially) that don't have the blessing of a Daddy who takes the time to pass on what he knows to them. They love him so much, and I hear almost every day, "I wish Daddy didn't have to work, I miss him". And the welcome he gets when he gets home from work, would make any Dad smile. We hope and pray (and are saving and planning) so that someday Greg can work from home so that the boys can spend alot more time with him. Melts my heart!!
